The
2007 pageant season represents 15 years for Vanbros and
Associates Inc. We have invited all former titleholders
back for a special reunion during the 2007 Miss Kansas
USA and
Miss Kansas Teen USA Pageant on December 17, 2006, in Lawarence,
Kansas. Be sure to attend this very special event! We are also
creating a video, with the help of our past and present
titleholders, that will be aired at all four of our
state pageants.

- NBC, Donald J. Trump and Paula M. Shugart, President,
Miss Universe Organization, announced today that Los Angeles,
California will host the 55th Annual Miss Universe Competition.
The extravagant show will air live from the Shrine Auditorium
on Sunday, July 23 (9-11 p.m. ET) on NBC and Telemundo.
This is the first time since 1998 (Honolulu, Hawaii) that

Legendary
Game Show Host Chuck Woolery Joins New Co-Host Shandi
Finnessey, Miss USA 2004
(Santa
Monica, CA) – LINGO has started its fourth season
of production this week, making it the first original series
ever to be picked up for a fourth season at GSN, the Network
for Games. Joining legendary host Chuck Woolery this season
is Shandi Finnessey, Miss USA 2004. The fourth season will
premiere Monday, August 1 and will air Monday through Friday
7:00-7:30 PM and 7:30-8:00 PM, ET/PT. These new episodes
will also air on Saturdays 2-3 PM ET/PT.
Host
Woolery is known by audiences worldwide for such popular
classics as “Love Connection” and “Greed,” both
of which air on GSN, in addition to “Scrabble” and
the first seven years of “Wheel of Fortune.” Co-host
Shandi Finnessey (Miss USA 2004), originally from St. Louis,
has a master’s degree in counseling. She has written
a children’s book, The Furrtails, as part of her
goal to integrate developmentally challenged children into
regular classrooms.
“Our
fans love Chuck and we think Shandi will add a great, fresh
dollop of fun to the show,” said Ian Valentine, Senior
Vice President, Programming, GSN.

MISSOURI USA, CROWNED MISS USA® 2004 DURING LIVE
NBC TELECAST ON APRIL 12
Los
Angeles, CA, April 12, 2004 Ð This evening, during one
of the year's most exciting live television events, a star-studded
panel of judges chose Shandi Finnessey, Miss Missouri USA
2004, as MISS USA¨ 2004.
The
25-year-old delegate from Florissant, Missouri was crowned
at the conclusion of the 53rd Anniversary broadcast on
the NBC Television Network from the Kodak Theater in Los
Angeles, California. Shandi has a Bachelor's Degree in
Psychology and is completing a Master's Degree in Counseling
from Lindenwood University. No former Miss Missouri USA
has ever placed higher than Second Runner-Up and Shandi
is very proud to be the first Miss USA from "The Show
Me State." Shandi is also the first "VANBROS
Girl" to capture the Miss USA title. Prior to Shandi's
win, VANBROS had two 1st Runner-Ups (KS 96, KS 02), two
2nd Runner-Ups (MO 98, KS 93), two 3rd Runner-Ups (OK 04,
KS 00), and one 4th Runner-Up (MO 01).
Access
Hollywood co-hosts Nancy OÕDell and Billy Bush, hosted
the live telecast. The telecast panel was comprised of
Jill Stuart, international fashion designer; actor Mekhi
Phifer, B.D. Wong of "Law and Order SVU"; Rocco
DiSpirito star of NBC's "The Restaurant"; Dr.
Jerry Buss, owner of the L.A. Lakers; Liza Huber, star
of NBC's "Passions", John Salley, host of "The
Best Damn Sports Show Period", Tricia Helfer from "Behind
The Camera: Charlie's Angels", racecar driver Jeff
Gordon, actress and model, Vanessa Hayden, and Miss USA
1997, Brandi Sherwood.
Throughout
the two-hour event, the delegates competed in three categories,
including swimsuit, evening gown and interview. During
these competitions the "Top Five" finalists were
selected before the crowning. Susie Castillo, Miss USA
2003, crowned her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour
primetime telecast, before an estimated worldwide viewing
audience of more than 200 million.
